Apply your OOPs concepts to learn Sitecore Basics

Challenge:

During my Sitecore crafting experience. Have been lucky to share my Sitecore Craft with lot of young talented and really awesome folks!

Few were just University Graduates and few of them were having couple of years of experience working on .NET/ASP.NET Technologies. And I got a task to explain them Sitecore in the simplest possible manner! 🙂 [“Anyone can make things complex, only few can make it simple!”]

Today, I was thinking, What I do to Introduce Sitecore to someone who is unknown to the world of Sitecore?! Eager to know? Then this post is for you!

Solution:

So, your target audience are as below :

  • Experienced Programmers who would like to learn Sitecore might have been working on Java/C#/C++/.NET/ASP..NET
  • Non experienced folks who are new to the world of Software engineering

Both are different — Correct? First one has seen the world, and later ones are ready to explore! But if you analyze further you will find one thing common in them — OOPs Concepts [Object-Oriented Programming]. From my point of view. This is the base of Programming. All the great Programmers I know. They all are really good with OOPs concepts.

So, we thought, Why don’t we apply OOPs concepts to explain Sitecore? And picture is worth a thousand words. This is what we came up with:

Apply your OOPs concepts to learn Sitecore BasicsAs one of our champ – Shivam Barve, has shared this concepts very nicely in his blog post. So, will follow DRY rule here and share link with you directly 🙂 https://sitecoreway.wordpress.com/2014/12/04/learning-sitecore/

Easy correct? Please don’t forget to share it with others! Because Knowledge shared is knowledge gained!

Happy Sitecoring! 🙂
