Scheduled task is not getting executed

Challenge:

You have created your first scheduled task by doing lot of hard work, and while testing you found it was not working 😦

There can be the couple of issues why scheduled tasks doesn’t get executed.

Solution:

there can be the couple of issues as stated below:

1. What is Scheduling frequency?

00:10:00

This frequency is an interval for Sitecore to check whether to run any Agent or not.

Just make sure that your frequency time is less than YOUR CUSTOM AGENT interval? OR
the interval for the YOUR CUSTOM AGENT should be set to more than the frequency parameter and give a go!

2. Is another agents gets executed? : Check whether another agents get executed or not, If others are executing properly then

3. Is your ASP.NET process is being recycled before your scheduling frequency?

Is your Application gets restarted before your scheduling frequency? When ASP.NET Restarts?

Just a note :  00:00:00 indicates that your agent is disabled

If you have configured processing server separately scheduled tasks are now executed from processing server. It was changed in Sitecore 8.0 update-1 http://techitpro.com/schedule-tasks-not-executing-processing-server/
